Important: notify the CAF to suspend your APL during your absence abroad — APL applies only to your French accommodation.
Other mobility grants
- Regional grants: Ile-de-France, Occitanie, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes and many other regions offer additional mobility grants (€500 to €3,000 one-time)
- University grants: many universities have their own mobility fund
- Eiffel Excellence Scholarship: for Master's and PhD students from abroad coming to France (not for French students going abroad)
- Fulbright (Franco-American): for exchanges between France and the USA
