Prime d'Activite — Income Supplement for Working Students
€50 to €300/month supplement for students earning at least €617/month — accessible to international students
The prime d'activite is a monthly income supplement paid by the CAF to workers (including students with jobs) earning modest incomes. It is designed to make work financially worthwhile for people on low incomes.
Eligibility for students
- Be at least 18 years old
- Earn at least €617.4/month from employment (approximately one-third of SMIC)
- Have a valid French bank account (RIB)
- For non-EU students: hold a valid VLS-TS student visa or residence permit card authorising work
- Not earn more than approximately €1,800/month (upper threshold beyond which the bonus tapers to zero)
How much will you receive? (2026 estimates)
