Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Meridiane platform.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms in their entirety. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the service.

The following terms shall have the meanings set out below:

• "Service": the Meridiane platform, including its website, web application, and associated features.
• "User": any person accessing the service, whether or not they hold an account.
• "AI": the artificial intelligence system integrated into the service to answer student questions.
• "Account": the personal space created by a user upon registration.
• "Content": all information, text, data, and materials available through the service.

Access to the service is restricted to students enrolled in a partner school or holding a valid invitation code, and to authorized school representatives.

Account creation requires a valid institutional email address or an invitation code provided by a partner school.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Meridiane provides international students with an AI-powered assistant to help navigate French administrative procedures (visa, housing allowance, health insurance, residence permit), along with document management, procedure tracking, and personalized guidance tools.

THE SERVICE IS INFORMATIVE ONLY. The information and guidance provided by Meridiane, including AI-generated responses, do not constitute legal, administrative, financial, or professional advice.

Document verification features are informational only and do not constitute official validation of any document by any authority.

You may use the service solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

• Use the service only for its intended purpose
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information
• Report any security incident to contact@meridiane.fr

You must not:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to distribute spam
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the service's operation
• Impersonate any person or entity

The AI integrated into Meridiane is probabilistic in nature. It may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information.

Meridiane makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated response.

You must always verify information obtained through the AI with official sources (France services, prefectures, CAF, CPAM, etc.) before taking any administrative action.

In accordance with EU Regulation 2024/1689 (EU AI Act), you are hereby informed that this service uses an artificial intelligence system. EU AI Act

The service is provided on an "as-is" basis. Meridiane makes no commitment regarding uptime, availability, or uninterrupted access.

Meridiane reserves the right to suspend or interrupt the service for maintenance, updates, or technical reasons without prior notice.

The service relies on the following third-party providers:

• Supabase — Infrastructure and database (EU hosting)
• Mistral AI — Artificial intelligence processing (France)
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Vercel — Website and application hosting

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Meridiane excludes all liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these terms shall limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Meridiane's total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty euros (€50), whichever is greater.

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard settings or by contacting contact@meridiane.fr.

Meridiane reserves the right to suspend or permanently close any account that is in breach of these terms, without prior notice.

Meridiane reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. For substantial changes, users will be notified at least thirty (30) days in advance.

Continued use of the service after the effective date of any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
